Independence Day celebrations last a full week in Eritrea. On Saturday 21st May a procession involving many hundreds of people slowly moved along Martyrs Avenue and Liberation Avenue. This procession forms part of the celebrations which start on 17th May and last until 24th May, Independence Day.
